Camp 133 (Lethbridge, Alberta) Canadian POW Tokens.

Camp 133 was located in Lethbridge Alberta and issued both brass tokens and paper chits. The tokens are crudely made with P.o.W on one side and a denomination on the other.

The camp was thought to be primarily a civilian internment camp, but recent research by Larry Smulczenski indicates that soldiers from Rommel’s Afrika Corp were held at the camp. Previously only denominations of 5, 10, and 25 cents were thought to exist, but just recently 50 and a 100 cent tokens were found. These tokens are extremely rare.
