Australia Camp Hay and Tatura Internment Camp Hut Notes 2d, 3d, 6d, 1/-, 2/-, and 5/-

There were 3 series of rather crude notes produced on very thin (Almost like tissue) paper and printed with an ink block of wood or leather.  The type 1 notes are called Hut notes because of a figure of a small hut (such as the internees live in) printed in the center of the note. The type 2 note has the denomination spelled out rather than the hut in the center.  Type 3 are referred to as the geometric notes because of the shape printed in the notes center.  All of these notes are extremely rare with probably only a few dozen in existence. Hut notes were printed in denominations of 2, 3, 6 pence and, 1, 2, and 5 shillings
