Diedenhofen Labor Camp
The Rochling Iron and Steel Company operated a work camp in Diedenhofen near the town of Metz France. There is some controversy as to whether these notes were related to use in the camp or if they are fantasies. According to Das Geld des Terrors these notes were produced in the early 1970′s in someone’s home. There are two types of notes and some subtypes. Type one notes are gray and date stamped in red August 8, 1942and type two are manilla and stamped in red August 13, 1942.
